Magellan’s
Voyage around the world
This was the
lecture today, the first of ten to be done by this pilot historian. It fits
well with the round the world theme and the speaker is engaging and gives you
pearls you have not heard before.
Next was
trivia with yet a different group of folks all nice and fun to work with.
Lunch
We met some
new people who got on yesterday. Around 200+ new passingers came on yesterday
for various lengths of this voyage: some to Singapore and many more to Dubai.
Re arranging
Ed and I
rearranged some of the things in the cabin and found some stuff we have been
looking for. I also unearthed my St. Paddy’s Day T-shirt to get some use out of
it and bring a bright light to people.
Trivia
Can you
believe we won? First they offered us a bottle of cheap champagne and I
reminded her that we had some non drinkers. So she brought decks of cards: one
for each couple. I think they are running low on “prizes” and for many events
none are being given which isn’t the way it has been before.
Formal night
We got
gussied up and met our new waiter, a young man from Goa India named Francis. He
seems very sweet and was telling us what to do in Cochin and Mumbai. We’ll pick
his brain more as we get closer.
Tonight’s
entertainment
An “instrumentalist”.
This show will start late at 8 pm and Ed is already dozing off in his tux so I
don’t have much hope for either of us going. We have an early time for our tour
at Sanya, Hainan Island, China, tomorrow.
